  • Faulty weatherstripping



    I purchased a 2012 Ford Escape in March 2012 with only 10 miles on it. After a heavy rainstorm I noticed a puddle of water in the back where the hatch latches. I made an appointment with the dealer and paid them $95.00 to check for the leak. Seems like the weatherstripping around the window is rotting. I have never heard of anyone ever having this problem with a vehicle. They told me that it would cost over $400 to get the weatherstripping or seal replaced. Apparently there is no warranty for this.
